Two weeks on the road and I'm still traveling!
I've had an exciting visit with my eldest son, Nathanael, who lives in Austin, Texas. Earlier in the week we kayaked together at Barton Springs Lake, and I enjoyed seeing the wildlife and watching the rowing crews work out. They reminded me of my favorite book Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown. It was beautiful to gain a better sense of the speed of the rowers when paddling alongside; the top crews move with incredible grace.
Today I am en route to LA for my first appearance at the LA Times Festival of Books with my assistant, Zan! We're both very happy to finally meet the amazing women who run Acorn Publishing (the publishers of Reversed: A Memoir).
Thank you to everyone who has read the book so far! I look forward to reading more reviews! So far there are 30 FIVE-STAR REVIEWS ON AMAZON! If you haven't done so already, please review the book today. It helps keep my baby alive and on the Amazon lists! I'm also curious in knowing: What part/incident of my book inspired you the most? Which incident did you feel most connected? The ultimate aim of my book is push that we must teach all children to read. Please help me keep that going!
Cheers,
Lois
