I'm on the radio!

I am delighted to announce that I will be speaking about my book, Reversed: A Memoir, as part of an ongoing series on Canada’s VoicEd Radio! After sharing my book with VoicEd’s host, Stephen Hurley, he suggested we do a weekly segment on the book, my writing, and life as a reading specialist.

Reversed is separated into six parts, that follow the extraordinary journey of my son’s—and my own—learning disability. Every Wednesday for the next six weeks (November 15-December 20), Stephen and I will discuss each part, diving into the obstacles and accomplishments we both faced.

Part I: The Beginning. Brisbane, Australia, 1994. The book's opening was the most painful to write. Nicholas’ first year of school was disastrous. Standardized test results were devastating. “Brain retraining” programs were unhelpful. Speech therapy became essential—and it was only the beginning.

Tune in Wednesday, November 15, at 7:30pm EST on https://voiced.ca/  to follow the highs and lows of a long, unexpected journey overcoming impossible odds.
