THE ACK LESSON

The ACK Lesson helps students build upon the fundamentals of connecting written language with meaning. Language is far more complex than just being able to decode words. This lesson explores the complex meaning of many simple words. Lois’s students become actively involved in both decoding and reading comprehension by activating prior knowledge, the connection to oral to written language, and exploring the joy of learning.
